In Meditations Part 5 Descartes talks about the existence and the essence of God. I totally agree with him in this argument. He says that he believes that God does exist because he feels that there has to be a presence of a perfect and supreme being. He can't even imagine his life without God and without his existence. Many scientist say that God does not existence because you can not physically see him or touch him but alot of people can certain feel his presence. But you can not see or touch air either so isn't it fair to say that air does not existence for the same reasons that scientist say that God does not existence?

I agree. In Meditations 5 Descartes is trying to prove whether or not God is true. HE finally figures that since being a supremely perfect being, existence would be of the more perfect idea. Since most true material things contain properties, and those such as air do also, then GOd must be true if he too, like air contains the property of existing without a physical property.
I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOUR STATEMENT JUST BECAUSE GOD DOESNT HAVE A PHYSICAL FORM DOES NOT MEAN HE DOES NOT EXIST. THERE ARE ALOT OF THINGS IN THE WORLD THAT WE CAN NOT SEE BUT WE KNOW AND BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE THERE AND THAT THEY DO EXIST! FOR EXAMPLE, AIR IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS IN THE WORLD BUT WE CAN NOT SEE IT BUT WITHOUT IT THE WORLD AND ALL THINGS THAT EXIST IN IT WOULD NOT BE ALIVE AT ALL.
